A Pittsburgh-area photographer specializing in wedding photography
portraits,
modeling portfolios and special events
Experienced, professional, personable . . . able to get the shot while keeping out of the limelight.
Whether you are planning a wedding, arranging a family portrait, looking for
a modeling portfolio, or setting up a commercial shoot, call me for your
photographic needs.
Planning your wedding? I give you my full attention as you plan
your wedding. I want to know what matters to you, so that you will have the
images you want afterwards. I can give you advice, if you wish, on what you
likely will want to have, too. I have over 20 years experience
shooting portraits and social events.
I enjoy people, and it shows. I put people at ease and stay in the
background as much as possible. You can be yourselves
in front of the camera, and even “clown around” if you wish. Thus I capture
the moment, in timeless portraits. I pay attention to the unscripted moments
and little events of the day, getting those “photojournalistic” images that
you will treasure.
Besides having a good “eye” for framing and composition, I experiment –
unusual angles, lighting, or exposures can make for striking images.
I come to your event well-prepared, with two or three Canon camera bodies
(including the 21-megapixel Canon 5D) and
several really nice lenses, as well as Quantum and Canon
professional-quality flash guns. Original images from your
event are secure -- copied and archived right afterwards.
You can get some idea of my artistic ability and aesthetic from the wedding
album samples and other images on this site. I am an experienced Adobe
Lightroom and Photoshop professional. I can go beyond standard cosmetic
re-touching and render an image capture
in artistic black and white or sepia or "split toning", or remove color from everything but a
bouquet, or enhance the light, shadows and focus to draw the eye where it
should go, or change the color of a wall to match the color of the flowers,
or sharpen the irises of the bride’s eyes until the image is dazzling. And
so forth. The art is always at the service of my clients, of course: at the
very least, you give me direction, so I have an idea of the kind of thing
you like. My goal is to have another satisfied customer.
Relax, and let an experienced, artistic professional take care of capturing
a time in your family's life, or the visual highlights of your event -- for
you and those you love to enjoy for years to come.
Besides weddings, I shoot anything -- family portraits, seniors photos,
graduation ceremonies and classes, banquets and social events, political
rallies, model portfolios, theatrical or musical performances, church
directories (including printing), works of art, commercial photography --
even pipe-laying in the hills of West Virginia from a helicopter! And fine
art, if you are interested.
